Choose a mild detergent that’s free from Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs), which can weaken and discolor the fabric over time. Ensure the detergent is fully dissolved in water before adding the quilt cover to the washing machine, as undiluted detergent can leave stains on the fabric.

Should You Use Fabric Softener?
Fabric softener is not recommended for microfiber. The use of softener can coat the delicate fibers, reducing their softness and breathability.

How Do I Remove Stains?
Prompt attention is the best way to tackle stains. For microfiber, gently blot the stain rather than scrubbing. Repeat this process if needed until the stain is fully removed. Microfiber’s tight weave makes it easier to clean compared to other fabrics, but be careful to avoid setting stains by letting them sit too long.

If your quilt cover comes into contact with bleach or benzoyl peroxide (common in some skincare products), it could permanently discolor. Bleach usually leaves a greenish tint, while peroxide can leave an orange hue. It’s best to be cautious and avoid these chemicals around your microfiber quilt cover.
